At Merino Country we have a wonderful supportive community of fellow Australians supporting Australian Made. Many of our customers wear our products for travelling as our 100% Merino clothing and underwear as they are easy care, comfy, quick drying and are great in any weather & don't need to be washed after every wear. With travelling overseas and into Australia off the cards this year, our local tourism businesses need our support.

Last year ABC reported that 6 per cent of Australian Tourism business' won't survive the economic fallout of the global pandemic. Holidaying within our borders and supporting these businesses is especially important now. If you've been thinking about booking in a holiday for the Christmas period and beyond then this blog post is for you! 

We have some wonderful customers that are part of the Australian Tourism industry that provide unique tours and activities that we know you'd love. We have highlighted a few of these customers. Fox Helicopter Services - QLD

Long time friends of Kerrie and customers of Merino Country, Patsy and David Fox, started and run Fox Helicopter Services helicopter service in North West Queensland based in Richmond (the home of Kronosaurus Korner & many marine fossils). They offer scenic helicopter flights touring Porcupine Gorge National Park and White Mountains National Park. As well as one of a kind tours such as their Heli-Pub crawl and Coral Sea to The Outback Tour.

Helicopter tours give a new perspective of the beauty of the Australian landscape and can get you to places not accessible any other way. Merino Country Founder, Kerrie Richards, grew up in Richmond and knows Porcupine Gorge well but didn't realise the splendour of White Mountains National Park and will definitely be taking a tour next time.

Fox Helicopter Services started out in 2001 with just one helicopter mainly for mustering and has since expanded offering not only amazing tours but a wide array of services to the Agricultural industries in the area. In the horrible floods a few years ago they helped out the community with aerial support to get feed into areas that were cut off by water to get livestock fed.

Patsy has been a customer Merino County for many years. We asked her what her favourite Merino Country item is. " Your Merino Camisole! They are absolutely great for menopause. I highly recommend as they will keep you feeling dry during those hot flushes and sweaty moments. At Fox Helicopters we recommend the Merino Country Thermals to all our mustering pilots to keep them warm for early starts in the morning as our Mustering Helicopters get quite cold. They are tried and tested and loved by us!"

Teague Tours - South Australia

Wundies customer Jeff, is based in South Australia and runs Teague Tours. Enjoy one of Jeff's tours with a choice of of different locations and activities in the state of South Australia or enquire about a personalised tour for groups. Teague Tours offer tours from whale watching, Yorke Peninsula and Lake Eyre/Maree Man. Head out on one of these tours to see the wonder of our natural environment. Due to current circumstances in South Australia, Teague Tours will commence tours in March and onwards in 2022.
