So Comfortable
Hi, Kerrie, Tracey and the entire Merino Country team: Thank you very much for the warm reception you gave me last week when I picked up my order, and for having it ready to go. Everything fits perfectly and will be very comfortable to wear for the rest of my trip to Darwin, Canberra & Sydney. I’ve enjoyed every item I’ve bought from you, especially how comfortable they are. Bernie, California. USA
Wonderful Product
Hi, Kerrie and everyone on the wonderful Merino Country Team! I wanted to (belatedly) thank you for the warm greeting I received when I visited your facility in May. Although the intent of my visit was to buy a few items needed for my 3-week trip to Cairns, I left with a much fuller appreciation of the wonderful products you craft, the materials you use and the pride with which they’re made. I also thanked, in my mind, PM John Howard and President Bush for signing the Australia-US Free Trade Agreement so that I’m able to have you send these to California in the same amount of time it takes many deliveries to reach me from the US East Coast. I also wanted to let you know how glad I was to have ordered some additional items from you that were shipped to my hotel in Sydney in mid-June. I don’t know if it was because of La Niña that made Sydney so cold this visit (it was also a bitterly cold and very wet 2022-23 winter in California), or maybe I’d forgotten that Australia really does have 4 seasons. Regardless, the warmth they provided me on a heritage train trip to the Blue Mountains west of Sydney at an elevation of 1100 meters on a minus 2C, very windy day, was much appreciated. The same items and some that were delivered after I arrived home were the majority what I took with me on a long trip to our Western National Parks in October. My wife marveled at how versatile and comfortable Merino is at warm temperatures (+ 40C in Scottsdale, AZ when we arrived) and at cold temps (— 3C at night in Yellowstone and in Park City, UT). Best of all, it’s the perfect fabric for our coastal California climate that usually requires layers - cool mornings, warm afternoons and cooler evenings during our thankfully brief winter. I hope all of you enjoyed a very safe and healthy Christmas (which was probably nice and warm in Brisbane), and that you have a very healthy and prosperous 2024! Bernie Torbik, California, USA
Best pants ever.
My favourite go-to. I have three pairs - one for round the house, one for shopping and playing Taiko (Japanese drumming) and one for best. Most of my friends have now acquired a pair on my recommendation. We all love them!
Great pants
So soft and comfortable, terrific as trackies or pyjamas!
Draw string ps ts
Very good as always
Incredible comfy pants
Wonderful, thank you
Thankyou!
Hi Tracey, The pants arrived yesterday and I thought I’d let you know I appreciate your follow up, the discount and the handwritten smiley signature on the invoice. It’s why I love supporting businesses like yours! Thank you, Henrich
Merino Country
Our pleasure!
Comfortable
So comfy and warm, love the fact that you can wash them as if they are "regular" tracky dacks. Fantastic stitching and what I always wanted.
Comfy pants
I’ve already told you how much I love the comfy pants that I bought last year. My recent purchase of comfy pants was as a present for our adult daughter. She seems to love them too. She was telling me how she even wore them to bed last week!!
Great Quality
Hello MC Team, just wanted to drop you a line. I have just returned home after 2 months in Spain, including walking the Camino Frances across Spain (800kms). I only took 7kgs of luggage and most of my clothing was Merino Country. Each piece of clothing, from my underwear to my dress performed outstandingly, even coping with strong detergents (you can’t always control this when you’re travelling) and going through the dryer (I would NEVER do this at home - in fact I don’t even own a dryer!). So, so impressed with the quality of Merino Country! It is just the best for travelling. I’ve even converted my husband! Here is a pic of me in MC trousers, tshirt (& bra & undies) at Park Güell, Barcelona. JESS
#341 Drawstring Comfy Pants 275gsm
Bought these pants for wearing for sleeping when camping. They are very comfortable and am happy with them. Being a short person at 153cm tall, they are a tad long for me but not worried as they are worn as pyjamas. Quality is great. Thank you.
Love them!
Like all the other Merino Country clothes I have invested in over the years, these are great quality and are perfect for a minimalist wardrobe because they last really well and you can wear them a lot and only need to wash them once a week because the fabric resists odour. In fact, I only have one pair of track-style pants and these are it. I wear them at home, walking the dog, for yoga and bike riding.
Best Trakkie Daks for Dads

Drawstring Comfy Pants
The Drawstring Comfy Pants really are just that. Very comfy and stylish too. Love wearing them.
So good
These are the best pants I've ever owned. I've worn them in Darwin, Melbourne and Brisbane - they always seem to keep me just the right temperature.
Comfy and lovely in winter
Very pleasant to wear, not too heavy but warm in the way wool does best

Wash before Wear. Warm Gentle Machine Wash. Use PH Neutral Detergent (no whiteners/brighteners or stain removers- they do nasty things to wool). Definitely NO Bleach. Warm Iron. Line Dry or Low Heat Tumble Dry (remove from Dryer just before completely dry) and do not wash with with sharp objects.
The more care you give your Merino wool products the longer they will last. Whilst our products are machine washable, to get the best life out of them we recommend handwash or gentle machine wash and please take care with what you wash them in and with.
See our full care instructions here.
Please note - do NOT use any detergents which contain Bleach, Whiteners or Brighteners or stain removers - there are a couple of big brands with bleach/whiteners/brighteners/stain removers which weaken the fibres and create holes in Merino fabric and are to be avoided. If unsure of what to use please contact us on 1800 606 969 and we'll help you out!
AVOID products that say things like "tough on stains" "super white" etc - they'll often have the following wording and are to be avoided - Optical Brighteners, Enzymes, Bleach - either chlorine or oxygen based, Heavy Duty Detergents, Softeners, Stain Removers, "Bio” detergents containing enzymes
